While writing other books I have also written numerous short diverse and unrelated “sketches” that reflect my day to day opinions and responses to ordinary things, brief single sitting responses to a variety of subjects drawn from memories, relationships, philosophical considerations or quirks of a personal nature that no one has asked me to share. I write them randomly as one might collect seashells and driftwood on a beach. Now given the idea of a personal blog I assemble a few of them to fit together under kindred but tentative titles which befits the nature of my beach.
